Shane Kimpton

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Shane has over 30 years’ experience working in the resources sector in Australia and overseas. He has been responsible for brownfields engineering, operations & maintenance, capital projects delivery, commissioning and shutdowns across the onshore and offshore oil and gas, LNG, chemicals, power generation and mining sectors.

Shane has held senior executive roles for leading operators and contractors including UGL, Transfield Services and ExxonMobil, working in a number of locations across some of the world’s largest Oil & LNG projects. Shane has a demonstrated track record of strategic and operational leadership, delivering outstanding long-term business and EBIT growth and improved HSE performance.

Shane graduated in Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology and is a member of the Asset Management Council of Australia.

Christian Johnstone

Chief Financial Officer

Christian has over 25 years of finance and corporate advisory experience including a number of years in senior finance roles for publicly listed companies. He has extensive experience spanning the mining, gas and industrial sectors, having previously worked as chief financial officer for Iron Ore Holdings Ltd for over four years, and Wesfarmers Limited for over six years in its business development department and its industrial gas subsidiary in a senior finance role. Prior to Wesfarmers Limited, Christian worked for KPMG Corporate Finance in Australia and Asia, and KPMG in Scotland for over 10 years.

Christian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment and an (Executive) Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Warren Puvanendran

General Manager – Operations

Warren has over 20 years of experience in business development, sales and strategic management roles for regional and international companies. He has worked across the marine, mining, technology, aviation and natural resource industries. This breadth of experience has provided him with the capability to adapt to changing market conditions and respond quickly to client demands.

With a background in pre-contracts, business development and management, Warren has been responsible for identifying opportunities, fostering client relationships and positing businesses to win work.

Warren holds a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration & Management and a Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IntBus).

Nathan Pike

General Manager – Operations (Resources)

Nathan has more than 25 years’ experience in the oil & gas, utilities, mining and mineral processing industries in Australia and internationally. He has held operational and senior leadership positions with Normandy Mining, Mount Isa Mines, Xstrata Copper, Nyrstar, Kentz E&I and UGL.

Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge and is graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), diplomas in Work Health & Safety, Human Resources and Environmental Management and is a member of both the Australian Institute of Health & Safety and the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.

Michael Birch

General Manager - Energy

Michael has over 25 years of experience working in the LNG, oil & gas, and related industries. He has a Master’s degree in Engineering Maintenance Management and an extensive industry background in engineering maintenance management, having previously worked for more than 10 years as a LNG Plant Maintenance Manager, and Shutdown and Turnaround Manager in five different countries.

He is a strong safety leader in all aspects of Process and Personal Safety.  Michael has gained extensive experience in Pre-Operations Readiness for new LNG Plants and transitioning organisations from Pre-Ops into steady state highly reliable operations, having been responsible for building teams of competent people, contracts and processes to become efficient in managing large multi-billion-dollar mega-assets.
