AusGroup Limited is pleased to announce subsidiary AGC Industries (AGC) has been awarded 15 work packs for the 2018 turnaround contract at the Yara Pilbara liquid ammonia plant, located on the Burrup Peninsula near Karratha in Western Australia. The contract is valued at AU$11.7 million, and will see AusGroup recruit around 175 skilled workers to complete the work packs which include spool replacement, vessel replacement, refractory scope, remedial repair work, integrity improvement and the implementation of a life extension programme.

Yara Pilbara General Manager Chris Rijksen said, “The 2018 turnaround represents our biggest to date at our Pilbara facilities, and we look forward to working with AusGroup and our other contractors that have been engaged on the plant to execute it safely.”
