Consistent with its commitment to providing exceptional, value-for-money services, AusGroup has recently consolidated its operational maintenance facilities and now provides a comprehensive suite of client-focussed solutions and services from one centralised location. Specialised access services, which were previously provided at the Group’s Bayswater site have been integrated into the fabrication activities at the Kwinana Maintenance Hub. The Kwinana Maintenance Hub now offers a “one-stop-shop” for integrated fabrication and maintenance services including:
  • Large scale assembly and fabrication works;
  • Scaffold hire and distribution;
  • Insulation and cladding services;
  • AusGroup employment services;
  • Dedicated specialist blast and painting services; and
  • IRATA Rope Access training division.
Other improvements to the Kwinana site have also been made, including refurbishments and investment to the painting booths – ensuring that the AusGroup facilities remain world class. The site expansion and consolidation has enabled AusGroup to meet the demands of additional industrial activity in the Kwinana area, and has been key to its success in securing recurring revenue new contracts, including those with CSPB, Tianqi, BP and Nickel West. Importantly, client projects can be completed more efficiently and effectively because services can be “switched on and off” using an agile delivery model.  AusGroup Employment Services, also based at Kwinana, will ensure technical and trade resources are available to meet client’s short- or long-term requirements. Already, AusGroup has reported an increase in competency rates at the Kwinana base, with less downtime for clients’ Minimum Required Competencies (MRC’s) and faster access to services for clients. The site consolidation represents an important strategic positioning for AusGroup, given the significant growth in investment and industrial activity that is expected to occur in the Kwinana area in the near term. AusGroup is now well-placed to quickly respond to the growing needs of Kwinana-based industry by providing specialist high-quality solutions, enabling its clients to minimise downtime, reduce overheads and increase productive capacity. “With our expanded service offering centralised in the heart of the Kwinana industrial landscape, AusGroup can now offer our clients instant access to over 40,000m2 of offsite laydown and undercover area to perform traditional on-site services, including fabrication and assembly of large structures, specialist piping fabrication, painting, insulation, cladding, refractory services and access services. We can streamline processes and systems and ensure AusGroup can continue to service our clients close to their sites,” Andrew Horsfield, General Manager of Maintenance at AusGroup explained. “Above all, it is safer and more cost-efficient for the client and given the travel restrictions imposed in a COVID-19 world we definitely see the Kwinana Maintenance Hub as a real game changer, as we have seen a steady increase in manufacturing in Western Australia.
