Gorgon CO2 Coatings and Insulation

The Project
AusGroup was engaged to provide PIF services at the Gorgon facility as part of the Brownfields Projects Team for the CO2 Project.

The Scope
AusGroup had been awarded the CO2 Project towards the tail end of completion on Train 3 from the previous contractor in April 2019. AusGroup were tasked with mobilizing & establishing a presence onsite whilst continuing to achieve targets set by the previous contractor. Not only did AusGroup achieve these targets, but we continued to improve and better the targets week by week with a significantly reduced overhead structure onsite. CO2 was completed incident and injury free for AusGroup’s Brownfield Projects team and resulted in a total of 11,000 painting hours saved across all 3 x CO2 trains versus the budgeted hours, showing a 33% improvement over a 6-month period.
